NX Records is a record label, radio station and interdisciplinary workspace housed in the Department of Music at Â鶹¹ÙÍø.
About NX Records
The label was founded as a collaboration between Goldsmiths and Matthew Herbert's ever-experimental Accidental Records. In May 2013, we launched with a mixtape and at the Southbank Centre.
The label has continued to grow, releasing critically acclaimed music by Goldsmiths students and graduates as part of the , whilst hosting numerous workshops, events, and running a pop up record shop in New Cross.
NX has been managed by Â鶹¹ÙÍø artist, DJ and writer Richard Greenan, since 2018. In 2024, Accidental stepped aside from their NX duties, and Richard's own record label and NTS Radio show, , began running NX in collaboration with Goldsmiths.
​The label's mission statement is to create a new model for the music industry, connecting exciting talent from the renowned creative hub of Goldsmiths – and the wider community of South East Â鶹¹ÙÍø – with the forward-thinking and collaborative Kit Records.
Our aim is to build connections between emerging artists, education, the industry and audiences. NX is a professional label that works alongside, not in opposition with, DIY artists.
